This past Saturday my friends decided to gather together to cheer the Iowa Hawkeyes on to victory over Penn State. Well, unfortunately that didn’t happen but at least we had a smorgasbord of food to drown our sorrows. I’m talking tables full of unhealthy but oh-so-delicious options such as cupcakes, brownies, beer bread, deviled eggs, buffalo chicken dip, pizza puffs, maid-rites, and grilled vegetable skewers. I decided to contribute Reese’s Cheesecake Brownies and Pizza Puffs that I found on Pinterest (also found here and here). Let’s focus on the Reese’s Cheesecake Brownies today and the Pizza Puffs tomorrow!

We all determined that although this recipe is downright delicious it is very decadent and you definitely need a glass of milk. I mean after all it is a brownie with cheesecake, Reese’s pieces, chocolate, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. All in all this recipe is fine, however, I won’t be making it again as it needed a half hour to prepare, one hour to bake, and another hour and a half to cool. Who has that kind of time? Plus, there are far too many other desserts out there to try!
Check back for the Pizza Puff recipe tomorrow! It was a HUGE hit with the Hawkeye crowd and is super quick and easy to make!
