Pinspiration: Patterned Layers

{Inspiration Photo from here}

Fading back into colder weather in April after numerous days of 70+ degrees in March is never appealing.  In an attempt to deal with the cold rain as well as my refusal to bust out my winter coat again, I put together this warming layered look of combining stripes and plaids.  The key to mixing patterns is to first keep them in the same color family (here it is blue) and to vary the size of the prints (small, widely spaced stripes and a large plaid).  Here’s to hoping the weather warms to at least the fifties this week!  How do you stay warm during this ever-changing weather?

    • That’s EXACTLY how I felt too: pinning all these great ideas but never actually putting them to any use! Hope they can inspire you to try out some of your pins as well! I’d love to hear which ones you do try out! Guest blog? 🙂
