Reese’s Pieces Drop Cookies


1 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
1 cup clear corn syrup
4 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 cups Special K original cereal
1 cup Reese’s Pieces


In a medium sauce pan bring sugar, syrup, butter, and salt to a boil over medium-high heat. Allow to boil for 1 minute before removing from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla until smooth. Fold in cereal making sure to coat thoroughly. Gently mix in Reese’s Pieces until evenly combined. Drop a tablespoon of the mixture onto waxed paper or aluminum foil and allow to cool (I like them to cool in the refrigerator). Makes about two dozen cookies depending on the size of your drops.

  1. I just made this! Tastes awesome! Like scatcheroos bites!!! Perfect for a Cinco De Mayo party this weekend with the yellow and orange of the Reece’s Pieces. Might want to add in your directions that you need to add the white sugar with the corn syrup to boil.

  4. A friend made this yesterday and brought them into the workplace – I’m glad I didn’t know they were made with corn syrup then…they were so tasty!! I will make this recipe but try to find a corn syrup substitute… (?)


    • I would press them into a pan, refrigerate, and then cut into bars? I’ve never tried it (or even thought about it) but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work! They are very sweet so I would cut the bars into bite-size pieces still! If you try it, I would LOVE to hear how it goes!


    • Hi Shelley. I have not tried to freeze them before, but definitely imagine that they could be frozen and would probably taste absolutely delicious. Mine lasted about 5 days after making them in the refrigerator but only because that’s how quick we ate them all up!
