Graduation Highs

Attending my cousin’s high school graduation party yesterday brought back a flood of emotions and memories:  reminiscing with friends over the memories created over the last four plus years, the panic of trying to squeeze in last-minute adventures before everyone goes their separate ways, and the mix of excitement and fear as you leave all your comforts of home to explore a new unknown future in a new city with new people.  They are in the middle of the most exciting time of their lives and I’m seriously so incredibly jealous!  I can’t believe it has already been EIGHT YEARS since my high school graduation, man how the time flies!  Good luck Barb in all your future endeavors, I can’t wait to see all the wonderful amazing things you will accomplish!

As for the outfit, I am seriously NOT a shorts girl but actually love the simple sophistication of these high-waisted pleated shorts when paired with a classic ruffle tank and a bright pink cardigan (from my summer wish list) for a subtle pop of color!  Plus, this outfit was perfectly comfortable, age appropriate, and stylish for a day full of car rides, eating, and lounging outside.  Happy Monday everyone!  Hope you have an extremely wonderful week!

  2. High school seems like such a long time back! But I remember vividly the excitement of getting out into the bigger world and yet that nervousness. Anyways, I love the outfit! but I love most the family picture. I cant wait to see mine soon!
