Dances with Wolves

DancesWithWolves-4I’ve officially completed half of item #59 on my 93 in 930 list, one of which included the three-hour viewing of Dances with Wolves. As soon as I saw the wedding ceremony between Dances with Wolves and Stands with Fist, I thought the combination of this white dress, fringe booties, and statement turquoise pieces would perfectly emulate her wedding attire (see it here) in a modern, wearable way. Oh and I’ve been contemplating what name the Sioux tribe would give to me and have decided on either one of these uber creative names “Girl Unemployed” or “White Nails” since that appears to be my favorite mani color as of late. What would your tribe name be? Have you ever taken outfit inspiration from a classic movie? If so, which one?

    • THanks Lauren! It apparently was the first movie my parents took me to (I was less than a year old and they wanted to go see it…who takes a baby to a movie?) and I loved it all over again watching it so many years later!

    • Big D, this comment seriously made my day! You are too sweet and that sounds like a WAY better Sioux name than the ones I came up with! I miss you and hope you are doing well!
