I’ve been on the fence about turtlenecks for a while now – there is something suffocating about putting one on that makes me feel like I should be driving a carpool full of kids. Regardless, the impeccable styling by these bloggers and celebrities definitely has me thinking twice about reaching for a turtleneck this fall. How do you feel about turtlenecks? Love ’em or leave ’em?

Liove ‘Em! I have always been a HUGE fan of turtlenecks! I know what you mean about feeling like a mom in them (all comes down to styling in my opinion), but they are just to warm and cozy! I have been wearing them since I was a little girl!

I completely agree – the styling either makes it or breaks it! Definitely going to have to get one this year!

I am on the fence as well. I usually only wear them if it’s really cold. But the bloggers you highlighted look amazing in them…so, maybe it’s all in my head?!

I never wear them – honestly, I don’t even own one but these gorgeous ladies definitely make me want to change my mind!

Personally I love them! I recently wore a large knitted one and I’m looking for a black one. They keep you warm and can be so chic if styled correctly.

I’m on the fence too. Being quite “busty” I tend to shy away from them but seeing them styled so well makes me want to take a second look at turtlenecks for the fall.

Being definitely less than busty, I never thought about that as being an issue before with turtlenecks! A knit chunky one like the one Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere is wearing above might be a better choice? If you try one out, let me know what you think!!

Love them. So versitle and can create a very clean look in solids – allowing for accessories, or the bottom half (e.g., skirt or pants) to stand out! Plus some with long (overly long sleeves) can be soo cozy! Try them again – Definitely NOT a mom look – unless your wearing one with images on it – think circa 80s with harvest pics (small) repeated, or hearts etc… 🙂

I usually go for the slouchy knit turtleneck sweaters with the big necks—and wear them with leggings, jeans or even a long tube skirt.

Definitely need to get me one of those!
