On Sunday, the FEED USA for Target collection of apparel, home goods, and accessories hit stores. The best part is that each of the 50+ products have a specific charitable meal amount associated with them (i.e. buying a baseball hat donates 12 meals to the charity). Shopping that helps others? Doesn’t get much better than that ladies and gentlemen! I headed to my local Target to check out the collection and although I was disappointed by the minimal selection (guess that’s what happens at Targets in smaller town Iowa) as I was hoping to snatch up this burlap bag, white hat, and red tee I was definitely impressed with the softness and fit of the apparel and the bright fun patterns of the home goods. So if you need an excuse to pick up one of these fabulous items, just remember every product equals meals for charity! Check out the full collection here!
Traveling over the last eight months, especially after leaving Australia, left very little room for working out since days basically consisted of planning, site-seeing, and eating out while staying in small one-bedroom apartments or hotel rooms. Believe me that is not a complaint. I will happily not work out in lieu of traveling any day. However, those delicious local beers and homemade delicacies were starting to find a permanent home on my hips and butt so Justin and I crafted this do-absolutely-anywhere workout that is perfect for traveling or whenever you need a quick heart pumping 20-30 minute workout.
Bonus: I’m showing you how absolutely cool I look while doing some of these moves (yes, I apparently make that face while doing jumping jacks) and linking to a few of my favorite workout products. What is your favorite in-a-pinch-quick workout? I would love to hear as I’m always looking for a new way to spice up my routine! Also, I’m looking for a new workout watch since I lost mine while traveling. I’m loving this Timex or this Lacoste one on Chrono24 (homepage here), but wanted to see if you had any favorites to suggest! Let me know if you try my travel workout below and what you thought! 🙂 Happy Thursday everyone!
Unfortunately here in Iowa it has been raining cats and dogs for the last 48 hours forcing us all inside on this three-day weekend and making it virtually impossible for me to take the outfit pictures I had planned to post today. Since I won’t be wearing my new swimsuit boating today to celebrate all our vets on Memorial Day as planned, I thought I would share two ways to dress patriotic for Memorial Day for those of you fortunate enough to get outside to enjoy the beautiful sunshine, warm water, and backyard barbecues. Have an extra burger or margarita or dive in the water for me! How are you celebrating Memorial Day and spending your extra day off?
Taking this floral peplum top from daytime errands to date night fun was as simple as swapping out easy basics for brighter, bolder accents in the form of hot pink pants, glitzy jewelry, and lipstick. Adding a black clutch and strappy black heels toughened up the floral print, amped up the sexy, and made me taller (always a plus). So which look do you prefer: daytime or date night? P.S. These Old Navy jeans come in tons of colors and are on sale for $19 in stores and online (originally $34.50)!
Also, I’m really jazzed about my first BaubleBar purchase consisting of the necklace pictured and this one. I was not expecting them to come with their own individual velvet storage case (perfect for travel) and they looked exactly as they were pictured on the website! What more could a girl ask for? Now I just have to decide what to get next. Have you ever purchased anything from BaubleBar? What did you think? Have any favorite pieces that I should definitely add to my collection? (p.s. this is NOT a sponsored post, I just am sincerely excited about them)

Yep. There they are. My blinding white legs officially saw the light of day. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Scary stuff for all those surrounding me but it was bound to happen sooner or later. With the weather finally getting warmer in Iowa, it is time to pull out the skirts and sandals to weather the rising temps and pull out the grills for daily barbeques. What goes better with burgers and brats than a little ketchup and mustard? Yes, this outfit (as well as this one) is sadly inspired by my favorite condiments. Wait, you don’t coordinate your outfits to your food? No one? Just me, I guess. Ketchup is taken very seriously in our household.
Shades of yellow are gracing the shelves everywhere this spring/summer season, but I wanted to show you how to transition your wintry yellow (mustard) from freezing to sizzling. Simply combine it with a bright printed mini and platform sandals and just maybe a fun pop of color on the nails and lips for a breezy perfect for any summer occasion outfit. What’s your favorite shade of yellow and what color do you pair it with? I’m linking up with Marionberry Style today to showcase the yellow trend. Stop by her site (here) to see how other fabulous bloggers styled their yellow pieces.
