Turning summer dresses into winter frocks is as simple as adding warm layers in the form of a scarf, leather jacket, and opaque tights. Adding my favorite printed scarf and a swipe of a wine colored lipstick (a newly found obsession) saves the outfit from being a boring black and grey backdrop and amps it up into a fun, loud statement outfit full of crazy personality.
Morning fog constantly rolls off the water sweeping across the city of Seattle, covering it in a blanket of gray haze. Eventually though the fog slowly lifts revealing a clear day with a breathtaking view of the industrial city skyline surrounded by endless mountain ranges. It reminds me that even though my path at this moment is foggy and unclear there will be a time in the near future when the uncertainty lifts away and my endeavors will be certain and purposeful with a beautiful outcome.

Following my previously shared travel attire tips this outfit is airport ready with the comfy footwear, layers, and easy fabric. Check out my packing essentials (here), celebrity travel trends for inspiration (here), and past travel outfits (here and here) to make your holiday packing easy peasy.
Sometimes impulse buys are all you need to put a little life back into your favorite neutral basics. These pants (that I scored for $12) did just that trick for an impromptu early Sunday breakfast date with the husband at Wild Mountain Cafe this past weekend followed by a stroll at Green Lake Park. Can we discuss these gorgeous leaves that aren’t saturated or filtered in any way? Now picture an entire park filled with trees in varying shades of yellow, red, orange, and green – absolutely stunning – the perfect way to start a Sunday.
Yesterday my social media news feeds were post after post of family and friends in the Midwest enjoying/complaining about their surprisingly early October snowfall that was sufficient enough to even build a snowman. Now as much as I miss the people back home, I do not for a second wish I was dealing with snow right now, I instead am very much enjoying the consistent mid-50’s weather we are experiencing here in Seattle. Regardless of the severity of temperature change, my shopping list always switches from boyfriend shorts and sandals to any variety of boot, chunky cardigans, and cute, cold weather gear this time of year. Here are a few things I’m currently craving for this fall/winter season. When the weather turns cold what do you want to buy first?
